RESET

The East coast premier of Samantha Macher's play that the NOHO Arts District called, "compelling, stark, and bitterly funny."

The Story

This is a story about two damaged robots waiting to be
rescued. It's also a story about humanity, like all good science fiction is.

Reset takes a hard look at what it means to be human in a not-too-distant future where machines can have feelings and dreams, just like us. In the tradition of Golden Age scifi (with more than a little Samuel Beckett mixed in), borne out of a world on the edge and attempts to reconcile the horrors of reality with philosophies about ideals, Reset offers a Socratic dialogue for the modern age.

When she's not on set or stage, she works as a baker for Kaylena Marie's. She would like to thank Drew, Bob, John, and Mike for this amazing opportunity. "Thank you Mom, Dad, Linda and Mike Dugan for your continued support. And thank you to my wonderful husband, Trevor. I would be nothing without you. Enjoy the show!"

Jacob Applegate (Alex Teagan):

As a Buffalo Native, Jacob is extremely excited to be making his debut within the Buffalo Theatre Community as Alex Teagan in FirstLook Buffalo Theatre’s premiere play RESET! Jacob would like to thank his family, friends, and his co-workers who all continuously show active support of his accomplishments. He would also like to extend a special thanks and dedicate his performance to a fellow co-worker and mentor, Jack Do, who consistently challenges Jacob to be a better bartender, writer, actor, and man.
